"Tit for Tat" (जैसा को तैसा) is not a good policy, one should maintain his/her dignity...

Generally while doing something undignified people say that it was essential for people like that OR they justify saying "tit for tat" without realising that in the process they are lowering their personality and indulging in the actions which are not palatable to the standards of his/her behaviour.

Suppose someone has not behaved in a good and befitting manner, let us say he/she has exhibited "c-category" behaviour and you rate your behaviour as much superior in "A-category". Now if you apply "tit for tat" philosophy then you are lowering the level of your behaviour from A to C category which is contrary to your way of life and principles.

Therefore one should avoid applying this "tit for tat" theory and always try to maintain dignity of his/her personality.
