There was an impressive and the South Asia's largest #exhibition of #Construction_Equipments at 10th Excon organised by CII at Bengaluru from 10th to 14th December 2019.

Hon'ble Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways, Shri Nitin Gadkari and Hon'ble CM, Karnataka, Shri BS Yedurappa along with reputed Philanthropist Shri Ajimji Premji and other prominent personalities participated in the event.

Firms of 21 foreign countries were displaying their products, out of them Chinese were in large no. Our govt. and entrepreneurs can learn a lot from them.

I hope pace of building infrastructure will become faster in the days to come. Shri Nitin Gadkari told that earlier we were constructing about 3 Km road per day and now doing @ 30 Km per day and further it will be about 40 Km per day.

Govt. intend to spend about 6% of GDP on development of infrastructure and planned to invest 150 Lakh Crores in next five years.

Also govt. has legislated use of 8% plastic in road construction along with use of other waste items.

This year, CII instituted an #award for the #organisations that have done #exceedingly_well in the field of #providing_employment and #good_working_conditions for the #women. #Cummins_Ltd. won the #first_rank having 33% of women work force, even working in difficult fields of engineering.

One important thing I noticed was the #opportunity of jobs in #managing the #events along with that in the construction equipment sector. Younger generation can make #carrier choices in that.
